ABCs of Me

I'm pretty sure I'm the last on the bandwagon for this one, but oh well. I'm stealing the questions off Kelly over at Keeping Up with Kelly and Co. I know she won't mind because well she stole it off someone else too. :) Not much else to discuss this quiet Saturday. I taught this morning and now I'm working all afternoon. Exciting, huh? :)

Moving on!

ABCs of Me!

A. Age: 26!

B. Bed size: Queen and super comfy. I want a California King though, because it's huge and awesome.

C. Chore you dislike: Unloading the dishwasher. It's awful.

D. Dogs: One! A black and white lhasa poo named Millie. She is currently laying on my feet, fast asleep. :)

E. Essential start to your day: Hearing Rory calling MAMA? over the monitor. And lots and lots of coffee via my Keurig.

F. Favorite color: The blue, black and white, where stars shine bright! :) Studio K colors are black and light blue.

G. Gold or silver: Silver, for sure.

H. Height: 5'5. Sigh.

I. Instruments you play(ed): In elementary/middle school, I played the flute for 6 years. I also played the cello for a while, violin for a while and the trumpet for a while. I also played the piano for a few years. Actually, just Thursday I grabbed one of my students' flutes and she gave me a lesson. :)

J. Job title: HBIC. (ha) I'm the Owner/Artistic Director of the Studio K School of Dance. Soon though, the studio will be known as: Studio K School for the Arts. More on this later. :)

K. Kids: 2! Rory is (almost) 2 and Trace is about 6 months.

L. Live: In the forests of Pennsylvania

M. Mom’s name: Beth

N. Nicknames: Most people that aren't family call me Miss Kate. Sometimes I get Katie or Kater from people.

O. Overnight hospital stays: When I was pregnant with Rory, I was hospitalized for 3 days with dehydration and exhaustion, as a result of the flu and a bladder infection. Then with both kids, I had C-sections and spent 4 days in the hospital each time.

P. Pet peeves: OH SO MANY. I have incredibly sensitive hearing, bordering on beyond over sensitive. I can't stand to listen to people chewing gum or eating loudly. A humming noise, a whirring noise, that kinda stuff sends me over the edge.

Q. Quote from a movie: Your life is an occasion. Rise to it. -Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium

S. Siblings: 1 sister, Chelsea. 2 half brothers whom shall not be named.

T. Time you wake up: 7:00 or so. I try to beat Rory and Trace to waking up so I can take a shower. :)

U. Underwear: Why yes. Daily.

V. Vegetables you don’t like: Not many, actually. I love veggies.

W. What makes you run late: Trying to get 2 kids under 2 out the door at the same time. No matter how early I seem to start the getting ready process, something always seems to go missing or come up. Ugh it's so frustrating! Church on Saturday nights seems to be our worst. We're usually on time but not early. I like to be EARLY.

X. X-rays you’ve had: About 100, I'm sure. I've broken every finger and every toe at some point in my life. I've also sprained both ankles a thousand times, had stress fractures, nerve tumors, spine misalignments, hip displacement, shoulder dislocations, torn ligaments in my foot. I'm a dancer. My body is a battlefield! :)

Y. Yummy food you make: I LOVE to cook. Today, I made chicken tacos after seeing the Pioneer Woman's recipe the other day and they were so good! I'll post the recipe later. My new mission is to perfect cake pops.

Z. Zoo animal favorites: Any and all marine life. Dolphins, whales, sharks, any of it. I love it.

Cute! I would love to perfeect cake pops - if I had the patience! Mine taste good, but look horrendous!

And your x-ray comments? Ouch! Your poor, dancing body!

Love hearing facts about people! Ok, so your beyond sensitive hearing? You're totally not alone. I am the same way! I can't stand hearing people chew or any odd noise for that matter!
