Friday Funny
Kelly, over at Kelly & Co., is hosting a new Friday McLinky. FUNNY FRIDAY. And really who doesn't need a good laugh to pass the time on Fridays? I'm not the funniest person in the world, but my students are and I will pass their gems along to you.
Last week, while discussing what animal we would be...
J: I'd be a sparkly butterfly or a bird.
A: YOU SAID YOU'D BE A MONKEY OR A RED BIRD.
J: Well, I changed my mind about the monkey and I hate red.
A: UGHHHH.
While discussing our parents' jobs...
Me: S, I know what your parents do. They own the Lawn and Garden Company.
S: NO! They are landscapers!
In boys' acro, while stretching and putting our "nose to our toes"...
A: My feet smell like garbage.
S: Mine smell like burnt toast.
E: Well, mine smell like BEER!
Enjoy your Fridays, friends. I'll leave you with a video of my students practicing their advanced acro routine called "Le Cirque." Note, this at the end of an intense 2.5 hour practice. Some tricks are missing and sometimes their technique isn't perfect. But it gets the point across. :)

TOO funny! Kid dialog is one of the MANY things I miss from teaching. It's really true that they say the "darndest things" :-) I can't view videos at work so I will definitely hop back here after work to check out their dance routine! So neat :-) Hope you're having a great day!
