Sunday Social #1

I'm linking up with my sweet peas, Neely and Ashley O, for the first Sunday Social! Looking for a fun, friendly weekend blog hop? This is the one! PLUS link up today for the first one and you could win a $20 Starbucks gift card.
Actually, don't link up. MAMA LOVES HER SOME COFFEE.
Okay, here we go!
How did you come up with your blog name?
My blog name comes from one of my all time favorite songs, Dancing in the Minefields by Andrew Peterson. It's about two people getting married young and having babies young. Through all the trials and tough times, they learn to hold tight to the Lord and dance through the minefields. They prove everyone wrong and that is what Dave and I do! :)
What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Without a doubt, it's the wonderful women blogging has brought in to my life. I actually have GIRL FRIENDS now! For example, last weekend was my recital and I texted Becca in a panic, begging for prayer while Rory was having a major meltdown. She was right there, standing with me in prayer, all the way from Florida!
Not to mention all the fun I've had learning things from my blog friends. Neely introduced me to Birchbox, TOMS, the Naked Palette and so much more.
Plus...where would I be without Twitter?
Okay now I'm rambling.
What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now cant live without?
My Naked Palette, for sure. It's really changed my eye makeup routine for the better.

Facebook or Twitter?
TWITTER. I'd delete my FB in a hot second if I didn't use it to communicate with my students so often.

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be
Hmmm...Good question! I think I would like Sutton Foster to read my blog. Then decided to be my best friend.
If you don't know who that is...sigh. She's a Tony award winning actress who will be on Bunheads starting this week!

What is something you want people to know about your blog?
Listen, people. I have a full time job owning a business and having two toddlers. Sometimes I'm not good at replying to comments or keeping up with the blog work. I want to be good but I make no promises! Cut me a little slack! ;)

Slack - cut! I totally understand, life gets busy. I am wondering how much I will be able to keep up with my blogging in a few weeks when our first little one is born!

I contemplate deleting my facebook from time to time

I think about getting rid of my fb all the time. And I think you need to start texting me :) I'm not so far away ...

I'm purity much a die hard Facebook user. But a lot of that is because my job is Facebook based. (I work as a social media specialist) So I have to keep on top of all of the new changes to FB within minutes of it happening in order to keep up to date with work.

But I am much happier with Twitter.

As far as Sutton Foster goes, I've seen the promos for the show for weeks and couldn't place her until a few days ago. I guess I didn't put the two to together. But I'm excited to watch.

That should be pretty much. Apparently my computer felt purity is better.
